The Prem Nazir Samskarika Vedi, Kozhikode is organising a 3-day event celebrating the life and movies of the evergeen Prem Nazir, starting from January 16 till Jan 18, 2013, at the Town Hall.
Any doubts on why he is called Evergreen ?
Commemorating the 24th year of his passing, the organisation has also chosen four of his peers, GK Pillai, TR Omana, Sreelatha Namboothiri and Khadeeja for the Prem Nazir Memorial awards for the year 2013. The prizes, each carrying a citation and cash amounting to Rs 10,001 would be handed over at a commemorative meeting on the final day, January 18th, 2013.
GK Pillai, one of the awardees is also expected to deliver the Prem Nazir Memorial Lecture at the meeting. The events spread across three days, beginning January 16, 2013 include Film Screenings of Prem Nazir’s popular movies, Film Songs Singing competition, a Film Quiz on Prem Nazir and his movies leading up to the finale on January 18, 2013.

OLD MALAYALAM CINEMA 
from whgat I am told about the function (from those who attended the same from here in TVM) is that it was a grand success. Prem Nazir fans Mr. Radhakrishnan and mr. Prabhakaran of TVM felt that they had gone back 25 years….back to their twenties. it was nostalgia at its best- I missed it. kudos to those who organised it
Dear Mr. Narayan Radhakrishnan: It is a pleasant surprise to note that there are still plenty of people remaining in Kerala after the exit of EVERGREEN PREM NAZIR. I would like to be there for the PREM NAZIR programs in Calicut January 2014. I do not think anything is here in Thrissur (my hometown). Narayanaswamy.

Sir- some of the people behind the Pre Nazir samskarikavedia are esteemed members of oldmalayalamcinema itself. Gopalakrishnan and Sajith Sir are active contributors over here. Prabhakaran Sir and Radhakrishnan Sir- though are not contributors to this Forum are active readers of the posts in this Forum. And Mr. gopalakrishnan is from Thrisusr itself

Khadeeja has acted in Sathyabhama.. and it was released after Thenmavin(Did she act in this?).
