It would also then become a valuable bookmark for others who visit and play the track. And as usual, I do look forward to your inputs on the first set that I have published here with more to follow.

Hi Sajith
This is an interesting project. I think there may be thousands of songs like this, with differing versions in the movie and in the record, and that is a humungous task, to find all of them! Waiting to see and hear more.

The record version includes the songs kept by all of us in cassettes, CDs and spool tapes. As you know, master version of all songs recorded in cassettes, spool tapes and CDs are records. We all are listening to the record version through radios, loud speakers, spool tapes & cassette/CD players. These songs, over years, including the BGM got implanted in our memory. But when we started listening the original soundtrack versions of these songs through TVs, for me, it was a real surprise. Thereafter, i took an interest to track these variations. As you suggested, thousands of songs in the annals of old Malayalam film songs ( i prefer to say gold instead of old) got edited… and its sad to say that in that process we lost a lot of beautiful stanzas, BGM and lines.
